Chrissa introduces Mel, her assistant, riding her own horse, Piston, a 14-year-old Canadian Warmblood gelding. They have had success showing, but are having some issues with changes. He shows a lovely, round topline, but they have to work on getting him forward off the leg. They have taught him when she takes her leg off she going to kick, so he should go forward from taking the leg off. With lazy horses Chrissa suggests changing the tempo often to keep them sharp to the aids. They ride lovely stretchy circles at both the trot and canter before going to work.
