Laura talks about what the responsibility of the horse should be including going forward and seeking self carriage. In preparation for the canter pirouette, Laura has them ride haunches in on a circle, being very precise about the size of the circle and the responsiveness of the horse. They then add counter flexion while continuing to ride haunches in.
