Part 2: As the horses and riders gain confidence, Mark asks them to lengthen the canter stride and complete the line of fences in five strides between, rather than six. This proves challenging, and many of the riders lose straightness as they gain speed. Mark supports them as they work to find the correct level of forward and pair it with the right supportive aides to keep the horses on the right line for the exercise. He challenges the riders to be pilots and not passengers, and suggest they practice this exercise at home, as at their Novice level, he feels it's important they can complete it successfully.
