David O'Conner works with a beginner novice rider with a horse that tends to get quick before and after the jump. David wants her to land and do something (turn, stop, etc.) after the jump to direct the horse's energy. He also wants the rider to count strides methodically out loud to help her focus on the last 8 strides to the fence.
