USDF Sport Horse Development Forum - 4YO, Q and A | Scott Hassler | PART 02
          10m

Scott and Ingo Pape take questions from the auditors including the timing of when to start lateral work, and the necessity of the horse accepting the leg. The second question concerns the introduction of the flying changes. Scott talks about the relationship between teaching them counter canter and then asking them for flying changes. They also talk about which of three tracks to take for a young horse. Questions are also answered about whether the judging criteria is the same between the USEF Training and First Level tests and the Young Horse tests. They give great advice on which horses are suited to the Young Horse test.
