Scott starts this pair by asking the horse to relax before doing any work He allows the rider the freedom to think of their horse first and deal with the tension in the horse first He points out that if the horse is tight having them straight with tension on the reins is asking for trouble The horse was shown the arena the day before and they are able to begin becoming accustomed to a new place Scott describes his method of working young horses around things they are worried about including how to deal with their emotional reactions They show the relationship between tempo and the relaxation in the back We get the chance to see how to school him when he is spicy and see how to train him past a spooky part of the arena
