Five-star eventer Ryan Wood coaches a Training-level horse and rider on cross country as they prepare for the start of the competition season. They practice a variety of jumps, such as coops, water, combinations, corners and more. Ryan explains his method for introducing a horse to a triple brush skinny and ditches during a schooling session.
Ryan is a five-star eventer originally from Australia. In 2008, he moved to the U.S. and worked for Phillip Dutton before starting his own business, Woodstock Eventing, which is now based out of his and wife Lillian Heard Wood’s Lanefield Farm in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. Ryan has become one of top eventers in the U.S. and is known for his successful cross-country record.
