Christine Traurig helps USDF bronze, silver and gold medalist Chris Hickey work on gymnasticizing his 7-year-old Saskatoon OMF to promote relaxation, improve the gelding’s suppleness and start influencing the placement of the hind legs for more forward propulsion. Traurig advises Hickey to focus on maintaining suppleness during shoulder-in and half-passes and encourages him to use corners to re-establish that suppleness and prepare for the next movement.
Christine Traurig is the current Chef d'Equipe and Technical Advisor and Development Coach of the U.S. Dressage Team and has been a part of the U.S. Dressage Pathway programs for more than a decade.
