Monica Theodorescu works with USDF bronze and silver medalist and Grade IV Paralympian Kate Shoemaker, who was part of the U.S. Para Dressage Team’s incredible success at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games, and her Paralympic mount 8-year-old Hanoverian mare Vianne. Theodorescu helps Shoemaker refine key details, including achieving more collection, establishing a bigger passage and creating a more forward-thinking piaffe. They also work on riding positively into the contact and polish their counter-canter for improved balance and self-carriage.
Monica Theodorescu is a former dressage Olympian and serves as Germany’s current national head coach. Her star-studded career includes three German team gold medals from Olympic Games—Seoul in 1988, Barcelona in 1992 and Atlanta in 1996.
