This young mare shows a very positive, forward ride, and Ingo Pape encourages the rider to ask for her to stretch down more. He talks about inner and outer relaxation, and while the mare is alert, she's totally positive with energy that can be channeled, a great quality in a sport horse. Because the rider can bend and flex her, she is able to use her legs more as aids. When she goes to the walk the rider makes sure the transition comes from behind. He cautions against collecting a three year old and describes the desired top line. As they work on the walk trot walk transitions, they show the coordination of the aids. In the trot he asks for a bit more inside bend.
