In this video, we bring you a rider working at Grand Prix with an 11-year-old Dutch gelding. Lars Petersen works with the pair and asks the rider to be mindful of not allowing the horse to collect too much. The horse tends to become quite tense and experts help the rider work through this. Ashley Holzer asks the rider to strengthen her core and seat more so that she can soften her hand and allow more comfort and security from the seat. They work on the half pass, the zig-zag, the preparation for canter pirouettes and the piaffe and passage.
