The riders continue to jump lines for a short course, focusing on riding deep into the short sides and not cutting corners. They stop straight after the last line to help the horses stay focused on the rider. Madden mentions how she doesn't often have riders repeat lines because they don't have another chance in the show ring. The goal is to try and get it right the first time.
