Rider Position and Aids

Jan now works with a second rider who begins with a tense stallion. They walk a ten meter circle also working on acceptance of the aids including a touch with the whip. Jan asks for the travers at the walk down the long side and he assists from the ground. They patiently wait for him to relax at the halt and let him stretch down in the walk, rewarding him with a pat as he calms down. Jan has her ride on a much longer rein with a lowered neck to provide a base for her future work.
