Sharon White, Pan American Games team silver medalist and five-star eventer, coaches a student in a stadium jumping lesson emphasizing the right amount of aids at the right time for the horse. The horse-and-rider pair works through canter poles on a curve, single fences and a gymnastic line with raised rails between the fences to focus on the horse’s footwork and help create the canter and power needed for bigger fences. Sharon stresses preparing earlier before the fence, not being too quick to turn your head to the next fence and how to recover from a refusal.
Sharon is a five-star eventer who has competed at the Kentucky, Lühmuhlen and Pau CCI5*-L events. She has represented the U.S. on FEI Eventing Nations Cup teams and earned team silver at the 2023 Pan American Games. Sharon runs her training and sales business out of Last Frontier Farm in Summit Point, West Virginia.
