Don't accept shortcuts from the horse, and sit big in the saddle. Lion King has a beautiful uphill canter. Endel has to keep his leg long and encourage activity in the half-pass. Sven explains that riders have to stay relaxed, even when the horse gets tense. Stay cool inside and conscious without being too tough, so the horse develops a mature character and can perform movements without losing rhythm or relaxation.
