Monica Theodorescu continues helping Paralympian Kate Shoemaker and her 8-year-old Hanoverian mare Vianne achieve establish more energy from behind for enhanced harmony and to perform movements effortlessly while demonstrating lightness in the contact. She also reminds Shoemaker to think of shoulder-in first while turning onto the long side to the half-pass and coaxed her into more collection in the canter half-passes to help the pair become more fluid in their lateral work.
Monica Theodorescu is a former dressage Olympian and serves as Germany’s current national head coach. Her star-studded career includes three German team gold medals from Olympic Games—Seoul in 1988, Barcelona in 1992 and Atlanta in 1996. She won team gold and individual bronze medals at the Stockholm World Championships in 1990 and several gold, silver and bronze medals at European Championships.
