Courtney explains why she doesnt want the horse to stretch more than that horse reaches to the bit. The connection is better at the trot after the walk break, and they quickly move on to a transition to canter. When she comes above the bit, Courtney has her add bend rather than deeper for the transition. They perform very good up and down transitions to the canter from the trot and then do a great stretchy trot before reversing and repeating the same exercise to the left. Courtney explains why she likes to have the rider stay on the circle during training, helping the horse with the balance needed to maintain the circle.
