Dr. Moller teaches this lesson on a six year old by beginning with an emphasis on being straight, and starting the turn with the bend, and finish with guiding with the legs of the rider. He asks for more bend on a circle until the inside rein gets light without holding too much on the outside rein. They add the sitting trot, and then work on walk trot transitions when she leans on the bit.
