They change rein and work on trot canter transitions, asking for more inside leg to outside rein. They do four loop serpentines, asking for trot transitions over the centerline. After a three loop serpentine they canter on a long rein with contact. When the horse loses rhythm, Mr. Hess asks that he be ridden forward.
