They return to the canter, making sure they can collect before going to the twos. Joyce helps them make the left and right changes evenly. She has them do transitions within the canter on the long diagonal and emphasizes being quicker in the ones. After being successful at 15 ones, they prepare for the canter pirouettes, making sure he is quick behind and bending to the inside. They concentrate on the first stride and how big it is, and Joyce points out the importance of being able to control the speed in the pirouette. The cool down allows him to stretch in the trot.
