PART 1: International competitor, trainer and coach, Jimmy Wofford works with a group of riders out on the cross country course. Jimmy opens the session with a demonstration for the riders, of how the reins are allowed to slip and become longer as they communicate with the horse, and how to fix this. He goes on to discuss various ways to give the rein without lengthening, including softening the elbows, which is important for elements such as drops and downhill terrain. Jimmy then sets some goals for the session.
